We had a long time dear friend (Marty and Sheila) call us the other day just to express their concern and to let us know that they were praying for us. In the course of the conversation, Marty said, “Isn’t it neat that there are some friends that the Lord gives us that even though we have hundreds of miles separating, extended amounts of time from each other, and major changes in life itself, as soon as we hear one another’s voice it’s like those separations never existed.”
And our only response is, “Thank you Lord Jesus for the loving relationships You have brought about in our lives.” Marty was right for whenever I hear his voice – “Ok Jerome…” or any friend’s voice there is nothing but the leap of joy in our hearts for that dear friend.
I thank the Lord Jesus who is the One who began our friendships by being our perfect Friend. (John 15:14-15)
